Buxus macowanii closely resembling the European box, with its shiny, leathery green leaves and slow habit, our version could be used for the same purposes – topiary and hedges. It is also an attractive container plant. Easy to cultivate, it tolerates drought well, but thrives if fed. Very nice next to water feature or on a rockery.
This small, evergreen tree prefers to grow in the shade. It is also monoecious, so if you want seed, plant at least three plants.
