Ledebouria sandersonii is usually solitary. The broad leaves are normally appressed and the surface sometimes blotched with purple spots. The inflorescence is somewhat loose and pink to purple.
It can be found in shallow soils among rocky outcrops in montane grassland. On the Mpumalanga and Limpopo escarpment it is commonly found along the edges of shallow seeps.
Plant it in a moist area in the garden amongst small grasses but it should be dry in winter.
