Plant Description

Agapanthus caulescens is a beautiful perennial bulb that grows in full sun and requires moderate water. It is fairly frost tolerant. It flowers in summer with beautiful light to deep-blue flowers with a distinct pseudostem. It has dark green leaves and is best when planted in mass in borders, the masses of blue flowers make for a spectacular show in any garden.

It is ideal for container planting and makes for beautiful cut flowers. It can be interplanted in garden beds with deciduous winter growing or evergreen species. They are often used to stabilise steep banks preventing erosion.
