Artemisia afra  has silver-grey leaves that are aromatic and has sprays of small white flowers at the tips of the stems. Prune back in winter for vigorous spring growth. It is one of the oldest indigenous medicinal plants.

Artemisia afra is a moth repellent when placed in a cupboard and a natural insecticide spray can be made from all parts of this plant. An interesting plant to incorporate in a natural garden.
