Grass
The beautiful plumes of this hardy grass, Calamagrostis epigejos, makes it a good choice for mass planting. It has creeping rhizomes and prefers a damp spot.

Calamagrostis epigejos  can be used to great effect as part of a grassland/savannah type planting scheme. When planted en masse, the plumes make a very nice display. Once established this grass is drought tolerant. The seeds attract some birds during the winter months. It prefers moist, fertile, well-drained soils. This grass requires little maintenance.
