by Johan Wentzel

Plant Type
Perennial
Crotalaria magaliesbergensis is a floriferous little shrub that sprouts annually from a woody rootstock and makes a nice display early in the season.
Plant Description

Crotalaria magaliesbergensis (brachycarpa) is a floriferous little erect shrub with numerous stems that sprout annually from a woody rootstock. The bright yellow flowers make a striking display early in the season. That is followed by spherical, inflated seed pods.

Interplant Crotalaria magaliesbergensis with grasses and plant in a well-drained soil. It can also tolerate moist conditions.

The name was changed due to  the presence of a cousin in Brazil that had the same name.
