Dierama medium, when not in flower, is reminiscent of a Dietes. However, the pink or blue pendulous flowers make this a stunning addition to any garden. This specie is very floriferous. Plant in a well-drained soil and water moderately.  It blends very well with grasses or other tuft forming plants. A sunny spot in an open part of the garden is important.

The bulbs of Dierama medium can be left undisturbed for many years.
