Dierama pulcherrimum is a slender perennial herb that grows in large clumps of up to 1.6m tall. It is a lovely specimen in a mixed border or planted in groups in a garden bed. The lovely purple flowers attract pollinating insects to the garden which attracts birds.
Plant Description

Dierama pulcherrimum is a slender perennial herb that grows in large clumps of up to 1.5m. The dark green leaves are about 500-900x5-9mm large. The inflorescence is drooping with 4-8 branches with 2-5 flowers each crowded and drooping. The flowers are about 35-55mm in diameter and a dark magenta or deep purple-red colour. The flowers are borne between November and February.

Dierama pulcherrimum is a lovely specimen in a mixed border or planted in groups in a garden bed. The lovely mauve flowers attract pollinating insects to the garden which attracts birds.
