Dietes grandiflora is a very hardy, evergreen, clump-forming Iris-like plant that bears beautiful white flowers with mauve and yellow markings in spring and summer. Flowers best in sun but will make a good, tall groundcover under trees. Flowering associated with rain.

Do not cut back the flowering stems of Dietes grandiflora as the flowers are borne in succession along the stem.

It needs replacement after 5 years.
