Eragrostis rigidior is a hard perennial tufted grass that grows in relatively dry areas and flowers during summer. It is usually an indicator of disturbance and does really well to protect bare soil.
Plant Description

Eragrostis rigidior is a hard perennial tufted grass that grows in relatively dry areas in the bushveld or woodland regions. It grows in sandy and loam soil and is an average grazing grass, but is a more important grazing grass in arid regions. It flowers between October and May and the leaves can reach a height of up to 200mm high whilst the culms reach a height of between 300-1000mm.

Eragrostis rigidior is usually an indicator of disturbance and does really well to protect bare soil.
