Plant Description

Erytrophysa transvaalensis is a rare small tree with lovely silvery-green foliage that glistens in the sun. The spikes of red and green flowers are followed by huge red balloon-like seed cases with large black seeds. The balloon-like seedcases are a mechanism to distribute the seeds that will float away from the mother plant when it rains.

Plant Erytrophysa transvaalensis  in sun or semi-shade.  It prefers a well-drained soil and do not overwater.
