Geigeria burkei

by Johan Wentzel

Geigeria burkei
Plant Type
Perennial
The delicate leaf structure of Geigeria burkei makes it a good companion plant in a grassland garden. It is very hardy. Plant in full sun.
Plant Description

Geigeria burkei is an erect perennial herb, up to 40 cm tall. The stems could be simple or branched, purplish and the leaves narrow and slightly toothed, often rolled under. It bears bright yellow daisy-like flowers. The flowerheads are stalkless.

The delicate leaf structure and open nature of Geigeria burkei makes it a good companion plant that brings in some variety, especially if interplanted with smaller grasses. It is equally happy on a rockery.
