Geranium robustum is a small robust shrub that can grow up to 1m tall. It has several stems from the base, silky and leafy above and bare, woody at the base. The leaves are 50-100mm large in diameter, 3/5/7 lobed, the lobed are deeply divided and the leaves are silky silvery hairy above and thickly hairy beneath borne on long stalks about 100mm long. Geranium robustum's flowers are borne in terminal clusters of light purple flowers that are sometimes white in the centre on stalks about 60mm long covered in hairs, the flowers are borne between November to March.
