Plant Description

Gladiolus crassifolius  occurs amongst grasses on the Highveld where its flowerheads can be very conspicuous. The flowers are really dainty and should be planted en masse for a beautiful display.

Large colour variations have been recorded. This is the ideal bulb to plant amongst grasses in a grassland garden.

Gladiolus crassifolius is widespread in Southern Africa and two distinct forms are recognised.
