Plant Description

Haplocarpha scaposa is a fast-growing perennial plant that forms a mat of leaves that is very hairy. This gives the leave a white, woolly appearance. The thick rootstocks can reach a depth of 60cm. The solitary yellow flowers are borne on long spikes, up to 50cm in height.

Haplocarpha scaposa prefers a damp spot but will also grow where water availability is moderate. It can be used as a groundcover. It is very reminiscent of Gerbera ambigua.
