Hibiscus aethiopicus is a small herbaceous species (~25cm) that grows in grasslands as well as along steep mountain slopes. Dominant flower colour is yellow. Although quite small, it attracts a lot of insects and is well placed amongst grasses.
Plant Description

Hibiscus aethiopicus is a small herbaceous species (~25cm) that grows in grasslands as well as along steep mountain slopes. The stems are covered in rough hairs and the flowers are not easily mistaken and measure approx. 50mm across. Colour is highly variable, although yellow dominates.

Although quite small,Hibiscus aethiopicus attracts a lot of insects and is well placed amongst grasses.
