Ipomea ommaneyi is a perennial with a thick tuberous taproot. The trailing stems are produced annually. The flowers of this trailing groundcover is absolutely exquisite. Suitable for a bigger grassland garden.
Plant Description

Ipomea ommaneyi is a perennial with a thick tuberous taproot. Stems are produced annually and are trailing, up to 2 m. long. The broad leaves are wavy and covered with silvery hairs on both sides.  The hairs on the fringes are yellow. The funnel-shaped flowers are several together in a more or less dense head. Even the flowers can be silky.

The large tuber has been used as a food source.

Due to the spread of Ipomea ommaneyi it is only suitable for a bigger grassland garden.
