SEE LESSERTIA
Sutherlandia frutescens is a beautiful small, rounded shrub with grey-green foliage sometimes silvery, with bright orange-red flowers that is sweetpea-shaped borne in Spring. Followed by balloon-like pink-red pods.
Animals love the foliage, sunbird love the flowers and caterpillars from the Lucerne Blue butterflies feed on the cancer bush.
Sutherlandia frutescens is fast growing and tolerates all soil types. It needs good watering during winter months. It looks beautiful in a rockery, planted in groups in a border or in containers on a patio. It looks beautiful when lining a pathway or grown against a wall.
