Melianthus dregeanus is a shrub that can reach heights of up to 1,5m. It has densely hairy leaves can reacha a lenght of 130mm and it flowers between November and January with beautiful terminal drooping inflorescence with flowers with reddish petals followed by woody, downy, 4 rounded lobes.

The flowers of Melianthus dregeanus are scented and the shrub is a beautiful ornamental feature in the garden attracting butterflies to the garden.
