The dark green leaves are solitary, flat above and twisted and can reach sizes of up to 2mx15mmn large.The flowers borne during late winter in the South and during summer in the North are a bright yellow. Moraea spathulata is a hardy garden plant ideal for a mixed border or raised garden beds and makes for a lovely feature in a rockery.
