Plant Description

Ochna inermis is a small tree that is quite a sight when in flower. Its compact form makes it an ideal tree for the smaller garden. Hardiness has not really been assessed. It is very similar to Ochna pretoriensis that is quite common on the hills surrounding Pretoria.

Ochna inermis requires a well-drained soil and a protected spot on the Highveld and is fairly slow-growing.
