Osteospermum muricatum is a strongly aromatic, bushy perennial herb or much-branched shrublet. The plants are covered in sticky glandular hairs. The leaves are grey-green, with pointed lobes. Flower heads solitary at the ends of branches, with yellow or white florets.
Osteospermum muricatum is commonly found in the grassland thriving off bare earth and is an ideal candidate for a water-wise grassland garden.
