Phymaspermum acerosum is a multi-stemmed perennial with a woody, densely leaved stems. The flowers occur in large, dense, flat topped inflorescences, which are 200-250 mm in diameter. The leaves are finely divided with 5-7 lobes or they can be simple. The lobes are 3-30 mm long. Plant in a fairly poor soil. Trim back after flowering.

It would appear that Phymaspermum acerosum prefers a cool climate.
