Rhizogum brevispinosum is an erect rigid shrub or small tree that can reach heights between 2-4m. It bears beautiful golden yellow flowers during early summer attracting butterflies.
Plant Description

Rhizogum brevispinosum is an erect, rigid, perennial shrub or small tree that can reach heights between 2-4m tall with spiny, greyish-brown branches.  It has very small dark green leaves carried in clusters on short dwarf shoots below small straight thorns.

Rhizogum brevispinosum bears beautiful golden yellow flowers during summer, sometimes they are streaked with red, they have crinkly petals and are sweetly scented and attract butterflies to the garden. It is followed by light brown slender pods shaped like a capsule with a pointed tip.

This shrub is a showy addition to the garden with its spectacular yellow blooms attracting birds and insects to the garden.
