Rothmannia globosa, a shrub or small tree with glossy leaves is absolutely spectacular when in flower as a sweet scent permeates the air. The round fruits turn black when ripe and becomes very hard. Unfortunately, the flowering season is not very long.

The neat shape of Rothmannia globosa makes it an ideal tree for a small garden and it can also be pruned. Protect from frost when young. The roots are not aggressive.
