Silene bellidioides is a very hardy, evergreen perennial plant with tall, sparsely branched, erect sticky stems, up to 50cm, and rosettes of leaves at the base. The white or pink flowers with deeply divided petals open in the evening. The white flowers shine like neon lights at night and attract moths to pollinate them.
