Plant Description

Tritonia nelsonii is a dainty geophyte that is very slender and can reach a height of about 500mm.  It has beautiful funnel-shaped, orange flowers and the petals are almost translucent and delicately veined. It occurs in grassland on rocky ridges.

It is important to plant Tritonia nelsonii in a sunny spot. When in flower it is quite conspicuous amongst grasses where it normally occurs.
