Plant Description

Turbina oblongata is a  perennial herb that produces annual prostrate stems from a woody rootstock. Leaves are borne on short stalks and is quite large, often egg-shaped. The upper surface is covered with yellowish hairs.

The trumpet-shaped flowers are quite large and showy and very conspicuous amongst the grasses. They do not last very long but are borne in profusion.

Interplant Turbina oblongata with grasses for the best effect. It can also be cascaded over a rocky outcrop.
