Plant Description

Aster harveyanus is a  sparsely branched perennial that shoots annually from a woody rootstock. The stems, leaves and bracts are hairless. The daisy-like flowers have blues rays and a yellow disc. Colour is variable. It is a very hardy plant.

Aster harveyanus makes a lovely display when interplanted with grasses or if planted amongst rocks. Treat it as a succulent.
