Adiantum capillus-veneris is a clumping fern with a drooping habitat and slowly spreads by short creeping rhizomes. Thee fronds have wiry, black stems that are distinctively arching.

Plant in a well drained, neutral to alkaline soil. It is important to keep Adiantum capillus-veneris moist.

The soft delicate finely textured foliage is  very attractive.
