Plant Description

Aeollanthus buchnerianus is an erect or spreading, perennial, semi-succulent herb that has greyish velvety stems with longish hairs. The leaves are somewhat egg shaped with toothed margins. The flowers are small, whitish-mauve to pink masses borne on tall stalks in Summer and Autumn. It is often found growing in shallow soil among rocks in semi-shade. It makes a beautiful showy feature in a border.
