Plant Description

Albuca fastigiata is an erect bulbous herb that can reach heights of up to 900mm. The large bulb is about 70mm in diameter, the leaves are narrow about 1000x30mm large with a silvery band down the middle. The flowers borne in January and February are held erect about 20mm in diameter and white, sometimes tipped with yellow, with a broad green stripe, they have an unpleasant scent. It is quite easily grown and is a beautiful feature specimen in any garden with its bright green leaves and white flowers. Albuca fastigiata has few natural enemies.

Albuca fastigiata can be interplanted with grasses or other small perennials.
