Aponogeton junceus

Plant Description

Aponogeton junceus is a tuberous, aquatic herb with aerial and submerged leaves, rarely floating. The leaves are needle-shaped and 3-angled with a blunt tip, up to 9 cm

long. The  inflorescence consists of two spikes and the pink flowers are not aromatic.

It occurs  in shallow water, usually less than 15 cm deep, in pools, swamps,

flood plains, seasonnaly inundated grasslands or on muddy banks of rivers or ponds.
