This dainty perennial has fragrant, spherical inflorescences and sprouts annually from a woody rootstock.
Plant Description

Asclepias adscendens,  a dainty perennial grows fairly flat to the ground and branch a little near the base. Leaves are almost triangular. It has fragrant, spherical inflorescences that are terminal, pointing upwards. The colour varies between pink, beige and soft brown. It is followed by bristly, inflated fruits. The leaves are on short stalks. It sprouts annually from a woody rootstock.

Plant Asclepias adscendens in well drained soil in a sunny position. Attracts butterflies.
