Asparagus densiflorus 'Sprengeri' is known for its large clumps of long arching branches covered in dark green needle-like leaves.
It is an attractive groundcover with attractive arching fronds of needle-like foliage and tiny sweetly scented white flowers followed by small red berries that are favoured by many birds. It looks well in a mass planting to form an attractive groundcover. It looks good in hanging baskets, planter boxes or large containers, planted on steep slopes or banks it is effectively used to stabilise the soil and it looks great cascading over terraced walls. It attracts butterflies, insects and birds to the garden and grows in full sun and semi-shade.
Asparagus densiflorus 'Sprengeri' is fairly drought resistant but prefers moderate watering and it tolerates moderate frost.
