Asparagus striatus is a perennial shrub that can reach heights between 200mm and 1.2m tall. It has a fleshy rootstock, hard, leathery leaves and scented white flowers that appear in late spring. It is a drought resistant shrub that grows on rocky slopes in a variety of soil types.

Asparagus striatus is ideal for planting in mixed borders in groups or in rockeries or containers and attracts many insects and birds to the garden with the lovely white, scented flowers.
