Asparagus suaveolens is little shrublet, seldom more than 50cm in height and makes quite a show early summer when it is covered with white flowers. Its compact size and lack of thorns makes it a good choice for the garden. The fragrant flowers are followed by black berries that is cherished by birds.
Plant Asparagus suaveolens in a well-drained soil in a sunny position. It has very few natural enemies.
