Plant Description

Barleria obtusa is an evergreen, fast-growing flowering shrublet that is covered in a mass of dainty violet flowers from April to May.

Barleria obtusa grows very well in full sun or semi- shaded conditions.This beautiful shrublet normally occurs below trees and is very attractive if interplanted with grasses and other perennials.

It is quite common in northern provinces and is an easy grower. In habitat Barleria obtusa is variable with different forms. Trim after flowering to keep it neat.
