Plant Description

Buddleja auriculata, the mountain sage, is either a multi-stemmed, densely bushy shrub or small tree. It has a pale brown bark and the wrinkly, narrow leaves that are medium to dark green above, much paler below and have rusty hairs. The small flowers are sweetly scented and the fruits split to release very fine, dust like seeds.

This shrub or small tree is ideally suited to the smaller garden. It prefers a well-drained soil.
