Plant Description

Carissa edulis is a much branched evergreen scrambling shrub that has leathery leaves, which are sometimes hairy with a soft spine-like tip and is also armed with rigid straight thorns. The masses of sweetly scented flowers are followed by edible fruit . All parts of this plant have milky latex. It is a very good hedging plant.
