Cheilanthus viridus is a dark green fern with fronds resembling the common "maiden hair" fern only much harder and more drought tolerant. Recreate the effect of lush forest undergrowth in the garden or use as a hardy indoor or outdoor pot plant.

Cheilanthus viridus thrives in shade. Keep it on the dry side.
