Chlorophytum krookianum

by Johan Wentzel

Chlorophytum krookianum
Common Name
Giant chlorophytum
Plant Type
Perennial
Quite a huge plant that looks stunning next to a water feature. Can be grown in full sun or semi-shade but prefers the latter.
Plant Description

Chlorophytum krookianum is a robust, hardy, deciduous, perennial with soft, strap-like leaves that can be up to 1,5m tall. The flowering stem is long and strong with a branched flowering head and shiny, white, starry flowers in late summer.

Chlorophytum krookianum does well in those large, damp, shady areas as well as in full sun where it grows a little shorter.
