Plant Description

Cyrtanthus sanguineus is a most rewarding species to grow, bearing large bright red or orange flowers in spring to late summer. A well drained, compost enriched medium and semi shade position is preferred. Once planted, do not disturb the bulbs again.

Cyrtanthus sanguineus must be kept dry in winter otherwise it will not flower. It is well suited to planting on a rockery.
