Eragrostis superba is a hardy, densely tufted, perennial grass with slender leaves. The flower spikes are erect with very large golden, heart-shaped spikelets from September to April. These beautiful seed heads make this an attractive garden plant as well as an element of a grassland garden.

Eragrostis superba attracts seed eating birds to the garden. Cut back in late winter.
