It requires full sun to retain its beautiful warm colours. When planted in a container, it can form a very good focal point. Place it against a north facing wall in colder areas and keep dry in winter. The normal form is green.

Euphorbia tiruchalli "firesticks" contains a white latex that is poisonous.
