Euryops tysonii has a dense growth and upright form, with new growth from the base. Stems are closely leafy, becoming leafless near the base and marked with leaf scars. The leaves are close set, neatly covering the branches. The leaves are flat and leathery, with a distinct mid-vein and fainter lateral veins. Masses of flowers are borne at the tips of the stems. It is structurally a very interesting plant.
