Fingerhuthia africana is a tufted perennial that is widespread in South Africa. The cylindrical, spike-like panile makes it very attractive when in flower. It also stays on the plant for a long time.

Fingerhuthia africana prefers a well-drained soil and can reach flowering size within one season.
