Geranium incanum is a perennial herb that reaches heights between 200-400mm tall. The stems are well branched and woody at the base, the leaves are 5 lobed, always bicoloured, hairless above and densely hairy beneath and about 50mm large. The flowers are purple or magenta in colour and about 35-40mm large in diameter with hairy stalks and are borne in summer between October and March.
Geranium incanum is a lovely low growing perennial with beautiful showy flowers and is very effective as a groundcover. It also works well in hanging baskets or can be cascaded down a slope. If possible, shelter it from harsh afternoon sun.
