Gerbera viridifolia is a stemless perennial herb, with leaves emerging from the silky crown. It produces pink flowers very early in Spring when not much else is in flower. This is a very beautiful Gerbera, well worth cultivating but not easy to grow.
Plant Description

Gerbera viridifolia is a stemless perennial herb with fleshy roots and leaves emerging from the silky crown. The leaves are very variable. The inflorescence stalks are up to 45 cm long and flowers are solitary. The pink flowers appear very early in spring when not much else is in flower.

Gerbera viridifolia is a very beautiful Gerbera, well worth cultivating but not easy to grow. It can either be mixed with grasses or planted on a rockery.
