Gladiolus elliotii is a Highveld species. The flowers grow in two opposing ranks on a many-flowered spike and have large bracts. The flower tubes curve downwards and are less than 5 cm in length. The flower colours range from white to pink or milky-blue with faint pink or maroon markings on the tepals.
Gladiolus elliotii usually grows singly amongst the grasses and form a nice contrast with them. The grass-like leaves ensure that it is well-blended.
Interplant with grasses for the most natural look. It also makes a nice display if planted very close together.
Keep dry in winter.
